Tipping Etiquette in Uganda

Tipping is appreciated in Uganda but usually modest, and in many everyday settings it is not expected unless the service was especially helpful. In hotels, safari lodges, and by guides or drivers, a small cash tip is common, while in local restaurants and taxis people often just round up or leave a little extra rather than follow a fixed percentage.
