Clothing Etiquette in Uganda

Dress modestly in Uganda, especially in towns, markets, churches, and government offices, where very short shorts, low-cut tops, and overly revealing clothes can draw unwanted attention. In rural areas and among older people, neat, conservative clothing is especially appreciated, while in cities you will see more variety but still a strong preference for looking tidy and respectful.
