Punctuality Etiquette in Uganda

Being a little late is often socially acceptable in Uganda, especially for informal gatherings, family events, and social visits, so a few minutes’ delay usually does not cause offense. For business meetings, official appointments, and church services, however, it is better to arrive on time or slightly early, since punctuality is taken more seriously in formal settings.
