Personal Space Etiquette in Uganda

People in Uganda generally stand and sit fairly close during conversation, and stepping back too much can read as cold or unfriendly rather than polite. In crowded markets, churches, and public transport, close proximity is normal, though people still avoid obvious touching with strangers unless there is a clear social reason.
