Meat Etiquette in Uganda

Meat is commonly eaten in Uganda, but it is usually served as part of a meal rather than as a large standalone steak, and visitors will often see goat, beef, chicken, or fish prepared in stews, grilled on roadside stalls, or shared at social gatherings. In many places, especially in urban areas and at celebrations, nyama choma-style grilled meat is popular, while pork is less universal because some communities avoid it for religious or cultural reasons.
