Punctuality Etiquette in Rwanda

Being on time is expected for formal meetings, business appointments, and official events in Rwanda, so arrive a little early and be ready to start promptly. In everyday social settings there is more flexibility, but if you are invited to a family gathering or community event, it is still polite to show up close to the agreed time rather than very late.
