Coffee & Tea Etiquette in Rwanda

Tea is the more common everyday drink in Rwanda, while coffee is widely enjoyed but usually served as a social or hospitality gesture rather than something people sip constantly throughout the day. In homes and small cafés, it is normal to offer guests sweet black tea or milk tea, and locally grown coffee is a point of pride, especially in the highland areas where it is produced.
