Money Talk Etiquette in Rwanda

Money talk is usually kept discreet in Rwanda, so avoid openly boasting about income, asking personal salary questions, or discussing someone’s finances in a blunt way. In everyday conversation, people tend to be polite and indirect about wealth, and even in markets or social settings it is better to negotiate calmly and respectfully than to make a show of money.
