Public Behavior Etiquette in Ukraine

In public, Ukrainians generally value calm, respectful behavior: keep your voice moderate, avoid loud arguments or drunken rowdiness, and be especially considerate on public transport and in queues. In cities and during formal occasions, people tend to dress neatly and maintain personal space, while older traditions still favor polite greetings and a reserved manner with strangers.
