Personal Space Etiquette in Ukraine

People in Ukraine usually stand fairly close when talking, especially among friends, family, or in busy public places, so a larger personal bubble than in some Western countries can feel a bit distant. In formal settings people still keep polite physical distance, but greetings are often warm and direct, and close contact is more accepted once rapport is established.
