In Cameroon, many public toilets are basic and may not have toilet paper, soap, or a reliable flush, so travelers usually carry their own tissue, hand sanitizer, and small change for paid facilities. In homes and some restaurants, you may be shown a squat toilet or a bucket-and-water setup, and it is normal to use water for cleaning rather than expecting Western-style amenities everywhere.
