Recycling Etiquette in Cameroon

Recycling is not yet a strong everyday habit in most of Cameroon, so travelers should not expect the separate bins or curbside sorting common in many countries. In cities like Douala and Yaoundé, waste is usually mixed and collected irregularly, though some neighborhoods, schools, and NGOs do organize informal collection of plastics, cans, or bottles for resale or cleanup drives.
