Smoking Etiquette in Cameroon

Smoking is generally tolerated in public in Cameroon, but you should avoid lighting up in crowded indoor spaces, on public transport, and around elders or in formal social settings unless others are clearly smoking too. In bars and informal outdoor gatherings it is more accepted, though many people still consider it impolite to smoke while eating or during a greeting, especially in more traditional or family-oriented settings.
