Public Behavior Etiquette in Peru

Keep your voice moderate in public and avoid loud, boisterous behavior on buses, in markets, and in restaurants, especially in more traditional neighborhoods. Personal space is usually respected, but people may stand closer than in some countries, and a polite greeting before asking for help or starting a conversation is expected.
