People generally queue in an orderly way in shops, banks, and at bus stops, but in crowded situations you may need to be more assertive and watch for informal line-cutting. In Ulaanbaatar especially, service can feel less rigid than in some countries, so standing your ground politely and keeping your place is more effective than expecting a perfectly enforced line.
