LGBTQ Etiquette in Mongolia

Public displays of LGBTQ affection are usually kept discreet in Mongolia, especially outside Ulaanbaatar, because many people still hold conservative views and open discussion can draw unwanted attention. Younger urban Mongolians are generally more accepting, and there is a small but visible LGBTQ community that gathers around events such as the annual Equality Walk, though legal protections and social acceptance remain uneven.
