Punctuality Etiquette in Mongolia

Being on time is appreciated for business meetings, official appointments, and organized tours, but social gatherings often start later than the stated hour and a short delay is usually tolerated. In Ulaanbaatar and other formal settings people may still expect punctuality, yet in rural areas travel conditions, weather, and the more flexible pace of daily life can make exact timing less rigid.
