Tipping Etiquette in Vietnam

Tipping is not traditionally expected in Vietnam, but in tourist areas, nicer restaurants, spas, and for private drivers or guides, a small gratuity is increasingly appreciated if the service was good. In everyday local eateries, taxis, and street-food stalls, people usually just pay the bill and may round up the amount rather than leave a formal tip.
