Meat Etiquette in Vietnam

Pork and chicken are the everyday default meats in Vietnam, while beef is common in dishes like phở and grilled meals, and meat is usually served in small, shared portions rather than as a large individual steak. At meals, it is normal to have several dishes on the table and to use chopsticks and a spoon, with more formal or traditional settings sometimes featuring dishes like nem rán or thịt kho.
