monks, religious ceremonies, and rural residents, because many Sri Lankans consider it intrusive unless you have clear permission. At
temples and sacred sites, avoid flash and be discreet around offerings and worshippers, and in some places you may be expected to remove shoes or stay outside restricted areas while taking pictures.
