Toilets Etiquette in North Korea

Public toilets can be very basic, so carry your own tissues and hand sanitizer, and do not assume there will be soap, paper, or even a lock on the door. In hotels and major tourist sites the facilities are usually better, but outside those places you may encounter squat toilets and limited privacy, which is normal rather than a sign of poor service.
