Queueing Etiquette in Chile

People generally queue in an orderly way in Chile, especially in banks, government offices, pharmacies, and busy shops, and cutting in line is seen as rude. In informal settings the line may be looser than in Northern Europe, but locals still expect you to wait your turn and to ask politely if you need to confirm where the end of the queue is.
