Coffee & Tea Etiquette in Brazil

Coffee is the default hot drink in Brazil, and it is common to offer or accept a small, sweet cafezinho throughout the day, often after meals or when visiting someone. Tea is much less central, so if you are invited for a drink, expect coffee first and do not be surprised if it comes very sweet and in a tiny cup.
