PDA Etiquette in Thailand

Public displays of affection are usually kept very modest in Thailand, so holding hands is generally fine but kissing, hugging, or other overtly romantic touching is best avoided in public. This restraint reflects local ideas of propriety and face, and you will notice couples being much more reserved in temples, on public transport, and in everyday street life.
