Meat Etiquette in Thailand

Pork and chicken are the most common everyday meats in Thailand, while beef is less central and may be avoided by some Buddhists or simply ordered less often than seafood or pork. If you are eating with Thai hosts, it is normal to share several dishes at once, and meat is usually served in small pieces mixed into curries, stir-fries, soups, or grilled dishes rather than as a large standalone portion.
