Clothing Etiquette in Thailand

Dress modestly in public, especially when visiting temples, royal sites, or government buildings: cover shoulders and knees, avoid very tight or revealing clothes, and remove shoes before entering homes and many sacred spaces. In everyday life Thailand is fairly relaxed and stylish, but locals still tend to look neat and respectful, and beachwear should stay at the beach or pool rather than in town.
