Tattoos Etiquette in Oman

Tattoos are generally tolerated in Oman, but visible body art is still often viewed as unprofessional or too bold in conservative settings, so travelers usually cover them in government offices, formal workplaces, and rural areas. In Muscat and other more cosmopolitan places you may see younger Omanis with tattoos, yet modest dress and a low-key appearance are still the safer norm, especially during religious occasions and family gatherings.
