Smoking Etiquette in Oman

Smoking is generally tolerated in Oman in designated areas, but you should avoid smoking in government buildings, mosques, and other clearly non-smoking indoor spaces. During Ramadan, it is especially important not to smoke in public during daylight hours, and many people will expect you to be discreet even where smoking is otherwise allowed.
