Drinking Water Etiquette in Oman

Tap water is generally not the default choice for visitors in Oman, so people usually drink bottled or filtered water, especially in hotels, restaurants, and while traveling outside major cities. In homes and workplaces, offering water to guests is a basic courtesy, and during the hot months it is common to keep plenty of chilled water on hand for hospitality.
