Arriving a little late is often acceptable in Mexico for social gatherings, where 15 to 30 minutes of flexibility is common, but for business meetings, appointments, and formal events you should aim to be on time. This relaxed approach is often called "hora mexicana," and while it is not a hard rule, showing up very late without warning can still be seen as disrespectful.
