Bargaining Etiquette in Hungary

Bargaining is generally not expected in Hungary in shops, restaurants, taxis, or most services because prices are usually fixed and clearly stated. It is more acceptable at flea markets, with private sellers, or when buying antiques and secondhand goods, where a polite, modest negotiation may be part of the exchange.
