Respect for age, status, and formal position matters in everyday interactions, so greet the most senior person first, use titles, and avoid overly direct disagreement or public correction. In many settings people also expect a clear sense of who is in charge, and in some communities customary authority and family elders still carry real influence alongside modern office hierarchy.
