Smoking Etiquette in China

Smoking is still common in many public and social settings in China, so you may see people smoking in restaurants, on sidewalks, and after meals, though many indoor venues and transport hubs now restrict it. If you smoke, do it only where allowed and be aware that offering cigarettes can still function as a social gesture among men, especially in informal business or drinking settings.
