Physical touch is generally kept modest in public, so avoid hugging, back-slapping, or casual arm-linking unless you know someone well, and a brief handshake or nod is the safer greeting. In everyday settings people may stand a bit closer than in some Western countries, but overt affection is usually reserved for private spaces and close relationships.
