Smoking is still fairly common in Armenia, especially among men and in outdoor cafés, so you may see people smoking in social settings more often than in many Western countries. It is best to follow posted no-smoking rules in indoor public places and transport, but in bars, terraces, and some restaurants the atmosphere can still be permissive.
