Gender Norms Etiquette in Armenia

Public life in Armenia is still fairly traditional, so men are often expected to take the lead in conversation, logistics, and paying, while women may be treated more formally and with extra courtesy. In cities you will see more modern gender roles, but in family gatherings, village settings, and older social circles, conservative expectations about dress, behavior, and who speaks first are still common.
