Greetings Etiquette in Armenia

A firm handshake is the standard greeting in Armenia, especially in formal or first-time meetings, and close friends and family may greet with a kiss on the cheek or a warm embrace. It is polite to greet the eldest or most senior person first, and using titles and surnames until invited to be more casual is common in more traditional settings.
