Public displays of affection are usually kept modest in Armenia, so holding hands is generally fine but kissing and prolonged hugging in public can draw attention, especially in smaller towns or among older people. In Yerevan you may see younger couples being more relaxed, but a restrained style is still the safer norm in most everyday settings.
