Recycling Etiquette in Zambia

Recycling is not yet a strong everyday norm in Zambia, so travelers should not expect widespread curbside sorting or clearly labeled public bins outside a few urban areas and private businesses. In Lusaka and larger towns, some supermarkets, schools, and NGOs run small collection points for plastic bottles, paper, or e-waste, but most household waste is still mixed and informal reuse or resale is more common than formal recycling.
