Dress modestly and neatly in everyday settings, especially outside major cities and when visiting homes, churches, or rural communities; shorts, very short skirts, and revealing tops can draw unwanted attention. In towns people dress more casually, but for formal occasions, church, and public events, conservative clothing is still the safest choice and is often read as a sign of respect.
