Dining Etiquette in Uruguay

Lunch is usually the main meal of the day, often eaten later than in many countries, while dinner commonly starts quite late and can stretch into a long social evening. When invited to a home, it is normal to linger over conversation, share meat from the asado, and accept a second helping if offered, since meals are as much about sociability as eating.
