Recycling Etiquette in Turkmenistan

Recycling is not yet a strong everyday habit in Turkmenistan, so travelers should not expect the kind of separate household sorting or public recycling bins common in many European cities. In Ashgabat and other larger towns, waste is usually thrown away together, though some hotels, offices, and newer developments may have limited collection for paper, plastic, or glass.
