Coffee & Tea Etiquette in Turkmenistan

Tea is the default drink in Turkmen homes and guest visits, so it is polite to accept at least a small cup when offered, often served with sweets or dried fruit. Coffee is much less central than tea, and in more traditional settings you are more likely to be offered green tea or black tea in a small bowl-like cup than a café-style coffee.
