Bill Paying Etiquette in Turkey

In Turkey, bills are usually paid separately by each person or split carefully, and it is normal to ask for the check rather than assume the host will cover everything. In restaurants and cafés, the person who invited others often pays for the group, but among friends it is also common to insist on taking turns or to settle up later through bank transfer or cash.
