Smoking Etiquette in Namibia

Smoking is generally allowed in designated outdoor areas and some bars or restaurants, but you should not smoke in enclosed public spaces, government buildings, or public transport. In practice, Namibians are fairly relaxed about smoking compared with some countries, yet it is still polite to ask before lighting up near others and to watch for posted no-smoking signs in hotels, shops, and offices.
