Dining Etiquette in Namibia

Meals are usually relaxed and communal, and it is polite to wait to be invited to start eating or to be served before helping yourself, especially in rural or family settings. In towns and restaurants, table manners are fairly informal, but if you are offered meat at a braai or a traditional meal, accepting a portion and eating what is given is a sign of respect.
