Greetings Etiquette in Namibia

A firm handshake with direct eye contact is the standard greeting in Namibia, often accompanied by a polite “hello” or “good morning,” and it is courteous to greet each person individually before getting to business. In more traditional or rural settings, greetings may be more formal and unhurried, and among some communities a respectful nod or slight bow of the head can be used when greeting elders.
