Bargaining Etiquette in Namibia

Bargaining is generally limited to informal markets, street stalls, and some craft vendors, where a polite back-and-forth over price is acceptable, but fixed-price shops, supermarkets, and most restaurants do not expect it. In tourist areas you may be quoted a higher starting price, so a friendly negotiation is normal, yet keeping the exchange calm and respectful matters more than pushing for the lowest possible amount.
