Recycling Etiquette in Namibia

Recycling is still limited in Namibia, so travelers should not expect the same curbside sorting or public recycling bins found in many larger cities; it is best to reduce waste, reuse bags and bottles, and follow any separation rules only where a hotel, lodge, or private facility clearly provides them. In Windhoek and a few other urban areas, recycling drop-off points and private collection services exist, but outside those centers most waste is handled as general rubbish, so carrying your recyclables home or asking accommodation staff is often the most practical approach.
