Recycling Etiquette in Haiti

Recycling is not yet a strong everyday norm in Haiti, so travelers should not expect the kind of separated curbside bins or deposit-return systems common in many countries. In cities, waste is often mixed with general trash and informal collection or reuse is more common than formal sorting, though some neighborhoods and NGOs do promote bottle, metal, and plastic recovery.
